- The DDG is seeking experienced individuals to form teams to
- pool ideas and programming resources to produce software
- for vertical markets within the Internet/Intranet marketplace.
-
- The general concept is to gather together a series of programmers from
- around the world for a cooperative venture to produce and market the
- applications, with profit share on an "effort put in" basis. This
- group has an initial codename of "The Distributed Development Group",
- which is subject to final approval from the collective.
- C++/Smalltalk/Java programmers are also welcome, although my own
- feelings are that the most profitable initial area for development is
- the internet, and hence Java. Individuals with OO experience in
- other languages such as C++ or ST who are learning Java are
- welcome.
-
- The net presents excellent opportunities for short and long term
- profit, but as one individual programmers typically don't have the
- capitalisation to be able to fund some of the ideas that they
- have, even though the ideas themselves appear very worthwhile.
-
- A loose manifesto of the collective would be to pool ideas and
- resources for the general benefit and profit of the group.
-
- Please email back to ddg@odi.com.au with your willingness to
- participate and a brief summary of your experience (all levels
- of proficiency are welcome initially).
